Our story
How We Met
Sofia and Brian met while working together at the Intelligent Transporation Systems Laboratory at the University. The first time they met outside of work was so that Sofia could teach Brian to dance and Brian could help her practice speaking English. They were engaged in April, 2007.
Adriana Sofia Otero
Sofia is the daughter of Diogenes Otero and Maria Jadelly Barreiro from Naiva, Colombia. Sofia received her B.S. in Electrical Engineering at Surcolombiana University and is currently pursuing her Masters in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Oklahoma in Norman. Sofia currently works as a Graduate Research Assistant with the Intelligent Transportation Systems Laboratory at the University performing research in various traffic systems on contract with the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.
Brian Richard Hart
Brian is the son of Paul and Nancy Hart from Dallas, Tx, USA. Brian received his B.S. in Aviation Management from the University of Oklahoma. He also received his Commercial Pilot's license with all ratings during his studies at the University. Brian is currently employed at the Federal Aviation Administration as a Technical Information Specialist. Brian also works part-time for the Intelligent Transportation Systems Laboratory at the University as an IT System Administrator.
